The European Materials Modelling Council (EMMC-ASBL) reached a milestone, celebrating its 10th anniversary during the AGM 2024 meeting on 7 May 2024 in Cambridge (UK). Given the importance of the digital data marketplaces to the objectives of the council, a dedicated session was held focusing on the latest development and status of the active marketplace projects in materials and manufacturing.

The H2020 project DOME 4.0 was also invited to this members-only session, where Dr Bijan Yadollahi, the Research & Innovation Manager at CMCL, represented the consortium and covered the latest updates regarding the status of the platform (back-end and front-end), the nine Business-to-Business showcases, semantic interoperability enabling FAIR data sharing, and also the business and sustainability aspects of the project.

The session was received well by the participants, and a lively discussion followed the presentations, with valuable feedback from the participants about the current and future state of the marketplaces within this thriving sector.

The EMMC has come a long way during the last ten years, and at CMCL, we are happy that we have been involved in this journey as an active member for several years. We look forward to further collaborations in the future and to reach bigger milestones together.
