As a part of our collaborative activities within the Horizon 2020 project OntoTrans a video has been produced which focuses on an industrial challenge innovation case in the context of H-beam steel production in section mills.
The use case is introduced by large steel producer ArcelorMittal with contribution from CMCL in realising objectives namely time-to-market, digitalisation and decarbonisation via introduction of advanced digital solutions to offering deeper insight into the relation between mechanical properties of steel beams and process parameters.
OntoTrans is the Pan-European initiative focused on development of a semantic Open Translation Environment (OTE) for materials modelling, to which CMCL also bring its know-how in enhancing data analytics and semantics within digitalisation.
